Do I need to log in to anything?
No. Your WhatsApp is the way in. Billing is handled by Stripe, who email you a link when you need one.
What if I break the site?
You can't. Every change is shown to you as a preview before it goes live, and you can put the site back to any earlier version with one message.
Can my staff make changes too?
Yes. Say "add Jo, 07700 900123" in the chat and Jo can send changes the same way you do. Only you, the owner, can add or remove people.
Can I use my own domain?
Yes. Point it at us and it works within the hour. If you'd like us to register one for you, ask and we'll sort it within a day.
Is there a free trial?
Yes, 14 days, with the website and table bookings if you want them. We take your card at the start so your site carries on without a gap, and message you 3 days before your first payment. Cancel before then, by replying CANCEL on WhatsApp, and you pay nothing. During the trial your site uses its free townmember.com address.
What if I cancel?
If you cancel during the free trial you pay nothing; the site pauses at the end of the trial and is deleted 30 days later, and no copy of it is provided. If you cancel after paying, the site stays up to the end of the period you've paid for, and you can download a copy of it to keep by asking on WhatsApp. Either way, restart within the keep period and everything comes back as it was.
Who owns the photos?
You do. Photos we find online during the build are shown in your preview; they don't go on your live site until you confirm you have permission to use them. Send your own over WhatsApp.
Can I get a QR code for the menu?
Yes. Say "give me a QR code for our menu" in the chat and a printable one comes straight back, with "Scan to see our menu" written under it so people know what they're scanning. Any page works: the menu, what's on, the price list, or the whole site. Print it from your phone and put it on the bar, in the window or on a flyer.
Can people book a table on the site?
Yes, as an add-on at £29 a month, or £290 a year. A Book a table page in your site's own look: how many, which day, what time, done in under a minute. You hear about each booking on WhatsApp, ask "bookings tonight?" for the list, add phone bookings and close a date by message, and guests get an email confirmation and a reminder. Or we link to the booking system you already use, at no extra cost.
What can't it do?
Take card payments inside the site, yet. Deposits for large parties are on the list; tell us if you need them.
Is it really £49?
Yes. No setup fee, no tie-in, no extras unless you ask for the set-up session. We are not VAT registered, so there is no VAT on top.
What happens when the assistant gets stuck?
It says so, and we reply as soon as we can in the same WhatsApp chat.
