Privacy notice
Last updated 6 October 2026
Who this covers
This notice explains what Dimension Warriors Limited, trading as Town Member, does with personal information when you visit townmember.com, sign up, and run your website through us. Our company number and registered office are in the footer.
Your own website has its own privacy notice, generated from the fields your site actually uses. This notice is about you, not your visitors.
What we collect and why
When you sign up: your name, mobile number and email, your business's name, address and details, and the legal details a website must show. We need these to build and run your site and to contact you. Legal basis: performing our contract with you.
When you send changes: your WhatsApp messages, photographs, voice notes and documents. We keep them so that changes can be made, previewed, published and undone, and so that a person can step in when the assistant cannot help. Legal basis: performing our contract.
When you pay: Stripe handles your card or bank details and we never see them. We keep a record of your subscription and receipts. Legal basis: performing our contract and our legal duty to keep accounts.
When you visit townmember.com: a count of which pages are viewed, with no cookie and no identifier. UK rule: this is first-party analytics of the kind that needs no consent under PECR as amended from 5 February 2026. We set no advertising or third-party cookies. If you arrive by one of our adverts or a referral link, we remember which one for 30 days in a first-party cookie, only so we can count the visits and sign-ups each advert brings and apply a referral discount; it is never shared with an advertising network. To clear it, visit townmember.com/start?code=none.
How long we keep it
Your site's content and photographs: while you are a customer. After you leave, 90 days if you had paid, so you can download a copy or restart, or 30 days after a free trial that was never paid for, so you can restart. Then deleted.
Your WhatsApp conversation history: while you are a customer, and deleted with your site's content after you leave.
Payment records: six years, as the law requires.
Sign-ups that do not complete: 60 days, then deleted.
If you connect your Instagram account
When you choose to connect your Instagram account at sign-up, we ask Meta, with your permission, for your profile (your username, name, bio, website and profile picture) and your recent posts (captions, pictures and links). We read them once to build your first website, copy up to six of your pictures onto your site as yours, and keep the rest on your sign-up record until your site is built or for 60 days, whichever comes first. We never post, message or change anything on your account, and we do not keep the access token Meta gives us. Legal basis: performing our contract with you.
To remove what we hold from your Instagram account, email us or ask on WhatsApp, or ask Meta to remove the Town Member app from your account; Meta then tells us to delete it and we do, and we give you a confirmation code you can quote back to us.
Your rights
You can ask for a copy of your information, ask us to correct or delete it, object to how we use it, and ask for it in a form you can take elsewhere. Email us and we will answer within a month.
You can complain to us directly, and to the Information Commissioner's Office at ico.org.uk. Dimension Warriors Limited is on the ICO's register of fee payers, registration reference ZC243383.
