Questions

Does this replace Checkatrade or MyBuilder?
No, and it doesn't try to. Keep whatever brings you leads. Your site is where a customer goes once they have your name, from a friend, from Google or from a directory, to see your areas, your prices and your registration before they ring.
Can I show my Gas Safe or NICEIC registration?
Yes. Give us the number and it goes on your page as a link to the register, so a customer can check it in a tap. We never put a number on the page that you haven't confirmed.
Can I show photos of jobs?
Yes. Send a photo from the van with a line about it and it goes on your recent work page. Nothing goes live until you say yes.
Can I say which areas I cover and what I charge?
Yes. Tell us the villages and towns, and your prices from, and they are on the page. Change either by message.
I already have a website and a domain name. Can I keep the domain?
Yes. Your site starts on a free townmember.com address during the trial. When your subscription starts we connect your own domain, usually within the hour, and you can then cancel your old hosting.
Will my email keep working?
Yes. We only point your website at us; your email stays where it is. If your email is run by the same company as your old website, check with them before you cancel.
